Breast augmentation is a process used to enhance the size and shape of a woman's breasts by using Bruno Brown DC breast implants. Many women choose to get a breast augmentation surgery in order to enhance the contours of their bodies, to correct the loss of breast volume after a pregnancy and for many other reasons. Breast augmentation surgery makes it possible for women to increase their bust line by one or even more cup sizes depending on the individual. Breast augmentation surgery is performed using saline breast implants. However, silicone breast implants is available to the women participating in some FDA approved studies. A breast augmentation surgery is normally performed using general anesthesia. The DC plastic surgeon will make an incision around the areola or along the crease from the underside or the breast. He or she will work through the incision and create a pocket under the chest muscles or behind the breast tissues for it to accommodate the saline breast implant. The breast augmentation process will require 1 or 2 hours to complete. The incision made is closed using stitches, although bandages, gauze and tapes can be used for support as well as assisting with the healing process.

A good plastic surgeon will ensure they monitor your progress even after the surgery is completed. Some drainage tubes might be inserted in your for a few days in order to get rid of the excess fluids. You will be feeling sore or tired for a couple of days after your DC breast lift, but you should be able to move around in one or two days. The surgical dressing will also be removed in a few days after which you are advised to wear a soft cup bra. All other structures which cannot dissolve on their own are removed after 7 to 10 days. The nipples will experience an irritating burning sensation during the first 2 weeks. This burning sensation will subside as the post-surgical bruising fades.

There will be swelling after the surgery and may persist for around 3 to 5 weeks if the saline implants are put under the breast gland. But the swelling will persist for a longer period of approximately 3 to 5 months if the implants are put under the muscle.

Many patients often go back to work just a few days after the surgery. This depends on the nature of the job. Within the first 2 or 3 weeks, the breasts are often very sensitive to a direct simulation. But if the breasts do not feel sore after 3 or 4 weeks, the contact should be okay. Avoid heavy lifting, pulling or pushing with your upper body for a minimum of 2 weeks.
